7x57 Sporter

'98 Mauser action metalsmithed by the late John Westrom fitted with a Jim Baier (Half Moon Rifle Shop) barrel.

European style stock with barrel band, trap grip, open grip and pancake cheekpiece, with shadowline.  32 line per inch multi-point pattern with mullered borders.

Casecoloring and nitre bluing by Ballard Rifle Company.

12 Gauge Fox "A" grade

In keeping with the original design of the firearm (heavy frame, 30" barrels, etc.) it was decided to pursue a "waterfowl" styling in the rebuild.  The European walnut stock was left relatively heavy with beavertail forend and semi-pistol grip buttstock.  Fleur-de-lis checkering in 24 line-per-inch.

All engraving was recut by Steve Huff, case coloring by Pete Mazur and rust bluing was done in house.

20 Gauge SKB over/under

Upland style gun restocked to owner's specifications in high-grade featehr crotch American walnut.  Fleur-de-lis checkering in 24 lines-per-inch.

L. C. Smith 20 Gauge (#10 ACGG firearm - "The Upland Gun")

Completely reworked metal by Pete Mazur (inside and out) with English-style sculpting of the receiver.

Straight grip European walnut stock, 26 line multi-point checkering with mullered borders, heel and toe plates on buttstock.

416 Taylor heavy game rifle

Heavy rifle built on a classic "Banner" Mauser action.  Basic metalwork by barrel maker Bill Hobaugh.

Stocked with a very dense piece of walnut in European style with "pancake" cheekpiece and open grip.  Twenty-four line multi-point checkering over and around forend.

280 Remington sporter

'98 Mauser actioned sporter with barrel fitted by Bill Hobaugh, all other metal work done in house.

Spectacular feather crotch Claro walnut with 24 line multi-point pattern checkering, pedestal swivel bases and skeleton fittings (see grip photo) with 32 line checkering.

Mauser '98 restocked in rarely seen straight grip style.  Feather crotch European walnut stock with steel buttplate, pedestal swivel base.  European style floorplate release leaver and 24 line fleur-delis checkering (completely around grip and forend).

17 Remington mannlicher

Sako L461 in 17 Remington caliber restocked "mannlicher" style.  Broken fiddelback Claro walnut with 24 line multi-point, ribbon checkering pattern, pedestal rear swivel base and skeleton grip cap.  All metal rust blued.

Ruger #3 in 223 Remington

Ruger #3 rebarreled with Hobaugh full octagon and modified finger lever by owner.

Stocked in medium grade American walnut with 24 line fleur-de-lis checkering (completely over rip and around forend), steel fittings and sculpted ebony forend tip.

Lightweight '98 Mauser with 22" Apex barrel.  Other metal work in house.

Interesting European walnut blank, originally owned by premier stockmaker Len Brownell.  Close examination shows old graft just behind forend tip.  Twenty-four line checkering in fleur-de-lis pattern with fine-line ribbons.  Checkering completely around grip and forend.

FN Mauser action with Gene Simillion metal work.  Peep sight designed to fit rear square bridge scope base and store in trap butt plate.  Trap grip holds spare front sight bead.

Stock with European cheekpiece, pedestal swivel bases and 24 line multi-point checkering.  All metal rust blued in house.
